Family Photos

It takes a certain level of patience to photograph a family like mine.  Take three little boys very close in age, add in some hyperactivity, throw in a dash of moodiness, and there you have our family on picture day.  Fortunately, my talented friend DeAnna has oodles of patience and can handle anything the boys try to throw at her (potty humor and all!).  She says we're not her most difficult family to photograph (I asked) but I bet we are right there at the top of the list. Regardless, she once again did a miraculous job of capturing our family at this stage in our lives.

We took most of the pictures at Mills College, which is not far from our house and one of our favorite outdoor spaces in Oakland.  On warmer days, we love to go there to run around, kick soccer balls, collect sticks, and meet-up with friends.  It's like a little Oasis in an urban desert.

Thank you DeAnna for driving all the way to Oakland to visit with us and take our pictures.  We love you and we're so grateful that you have documented pieces of our story for the past six years!

(And yes, my Christmas cards went out in the mail after Christmas this year.  But you all eventually got one, right?)
